A Look at spill tab’s Newest Single: “Window”

The first time I heard of spill tab was watching her open for Wallows in 2022. I was captivated by her energetic performance. Spill tab is Claire Chincha's stage name. With a distinctive and infectious sound, spill tab always keeps things fresh. Her discography is full of sticky earworm songs, including the French "Calvaire" and "Santé".

Spill tab's sound is distinctive and infectious as she mixes catchy pop hooks with peculiar sounds that perfectly fit into the alt-pop idiosyncratic soundscape she creates.

A guitar riff kicks off her latest single, "Window" while a steady bass line keeps the pulse grooving while a reversed vocal effect and background chatter fill out the sonic landscape. Focusing on a monotonous relationship and longing for its beginning thrills, spill tab sings, "open a window in my head, I'm hoping you'll infect me like you did back then," and "it's human nature to crave what's not near.”

In an explosive chorus, "I think I'm done" repeats and contrasts its lo-fi vocals with "holding your hand and keeping you over the water," which cuts through.

The track is set to be a single on spill tab’s upcoming EP along with previous releases "Sunburn", "Splinter", and more.

Keeping busy with new releases, the singer is also on tour opening for Sabrina Carpenter so grab your tickets!
