Live: Boston Manor: Datura Takes San Diego by Storm

It was a night to remember when Boston Manor took the stage at San Diego's local venue, Brick by Brick. Fans eagerly embraced their latest immersive album, Datura, which came to life with the band's exceptional performance.

The night kicked off with opening acts Sleep it Off and Calmgrove, who set the stage on fire with their unique brand of pop-punk. Calmgrove, in particular, showcased their dedication by delivering an outstanding performance in San Diego and rocking the previous show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA.

As the band continued their high-octane set, one song, in particular, emerged as the most energetic and beloved track off the new album, "Foxglove." Its catchy hooks and intense energy sent the crowd into a frenzy, creating an electric atmosphere that encapsulated the essence of Boston Manor's music.

The performance featured a blend of tracks from Datura, bringing the album to life for fans who reveled in the opportunity to experience it live. Alongside their new material, the band seamlessly integrated their classic hits and rare gems into the setlist, including the seldom-played "Laika" and fan favorite “Liquid.” Despite the jetlag, with it being 5 a.m. in England, the band's relentless energy left the crowd electrified.

One of the night's standout moments was during "Laika" when Boston Manor's lead singer, Henry Cox, and Eric Guzman of Calmgrove shared the stage for a few verses, creating an unexpected yet thrilling collaboration and display of community.

With their exceptional live performance and the immersive world of Datura, Boston Manor continues to push the boundaries of pop-punk, leaving a lasting impression on their dedicated fan base and cementing their status as a must-see band, with "Foxglove" and "Halo" standing out as unforgettable highlights of the night.

San Diego is definitely dreaming about Boston Manor’s return.
