Live: Peter McPoland Brings Piggy to Boston

Peter McPoland’s performance at the Royale in Boston was a night to remember for the artist and his fans. Boston was the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter’s second stop on his current North American tour, commemorating the release of his second album, Piggy, a tribute to William Golding’s Lord of The Flies

McPoland first rose to fame in 2020 for his song “Romeo & Juliet," but what made him go viral was "Digital Silence," which was initially teased on TikTok in early February 2023. This single was the first from Piggy to be released before the entire album's debut, quickly becoming McPoland's second most streamed song on Spotify.

What sets McPoland apart as a unique performer is his rockstar energy and genuine love for his fans. McPoland would jump off the stage and serenade his fans from the photo barricade multiple times, ending the night with as much energy as he started. Fans screamed along to each and every song, even the unreleased ones.
