"only wanna dance" with almost monday on a monday

Last night, almost monday kicked off their “only wanna dance” tour at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC.

The San Diego trio consists of Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar), and Luke Fabry (bass). almost monday emerged in 2020 with their debut EP Don’t Say You’re Ordinary. With a pure California sunshine sound, their songs make you want to dance with their funky basslines and catchy choruses.

Since their debut in 2020, almost monday has released a second EP and multiple singles. Touring is not new to the trio, having opened for both AJR and The Driver Era. Now, the band is headlining their own tour.

Taking the stage, almost monday kicked off their set with “Broken People” from their 2020 EP. The energy was through the roof as the band cycled through their hits. Included in the setlist was “Parking Lot View”, “This is Growing Up”, “Sun Keeps On Shining”, and more. A cover of the iconic “What I Like About You” was also thrown in. The crowd was thunderously loud as they ended the night with “Cough Drops”.
